Aug 08, 2020 I noticed that my magnetic glass cleaners pick up some of the black sand in one of my tanks where I have black sand. I learned that apparently black sand (at least for aquariums) is magnetic. I'm assuming this is safe for fish, otherwise they wouldn't have labeled it "fish safe"? Anyhow, I'm curious as to why black sand is magnetic.
